We all remember it — sitting in the mall, getting our ears pierced with a gun. For such a meaningful milestone, it was never made special. Not for the kids. Not for the parents watching.
Fast forward to adulthood, and not much had changed. Want a few extra piercings? Your options were still the mall kiosk or a dark, grungy tattoo shop that — let's be honest — can feel pretty intimidating if you don't already know the scene. Are there other studios trying to meet somewhere in the middle? Sure. Are they doing a great job of it? Not really. We knew we could do better — and more importantly, we knew we could do it exceptionally.
It started with a piercing and a vision. Hailey got her nose pierced and called her sister Lindsey with an idea she couldn't shake: "We need to do this. We can make this so much better than anything out there."
Lindsey had spent her career in the medical field before stepping back to be a stay-at-home mom to her girls. Hailey was a mom too — she wanted to build something of her own that would afford her to be home with her son. Together, they had exactly what Groovy Peach needed to come to life. They wanted to build a brand that was different from the ground up — one where the environment felt intentional and beautiful, where clients were educated and guided rather than just rushed through, where safety was never an afterthought, and where everyone who walked through the door felt genuinely welcomed. A space where the design alone would stop you in your tracks — fun, creative, and unlike anything you'd ever seen before. And certainly nothing you'd ever expect to find at a piercing shop. Not just a piercing. An experience.
They started in a tiny studio — 80 square feet to be exact. Before they knew it, they were fully booked and staying late into the night working through a waitlist. In October 2023, they hired their first two employees. From there, the Groovy Peach family kept growing — and it hasn't stopped since.

They love this place as much as we do, and they love our clients even more.

The Groovy Years
It started in an 80 sq ft studio - The goal? Book enough appointments to cover rent. We had no idea what was coming.
After months of staying late into the night working through our waitlist, it was time to grow the team. The GP family officially got a little bigger.
Three months in and we were already outgrowing our space. We moved into a larger studio in South Jordan — our SoJo era had officially begun.
We opened our second location in Orem — bringing the GP vibe to a whole new community.
We were nominated — and we won. Best Piercing Studio in Salt Lake City.
We celebrated the way we know how — with our people, our community, and a whole lot of groovy energy.
